This an email send to asianet who applied for a new internet connection recenly

Hello Shri. Thomas Anthony

I am sorry to inform you that at present there is need for a asianet data online internet connection as i have already have a internet connection from other Internet service provider.. It is fact that i have applied for asianet data online connection on 20.1.2010 (wednesday) through a executive named sanjeev who came to collect my application from Kadavanthara office of Asianet. While discussing about the date of providing connection, he said that with in 2 days. I had waited for 2 days and contacted costomer care of asianet. They said that as my location is at padivatom i have to contact the asianet office of Kakkanad. After contacting Kakkanad office, on Friday morning the Kakkanad office persons contacted me over phone and they came to house and put a cable to my house. While asking them they said thay they are only concenred with the wiring of cable. And the modem and configeration provision will be done by other technicians and other teams. When I called Kakkanad office again they replied that they will bring the modem and configer the connection make ready to use by next day that is Satarday. On saturday when i did not got the connection till 3 pm I have tried contacted again to Kakkanad office. but I did not any reply from other end. Then I contacted the sales executive and asked when will get the connection. He said that probably the technicians used to bring the modem and configer the conection on the very next day of cabling. He also said that I will get the connection on that day itselft means on Saturday 23.1.2010. After waiting till evening I have contacted Kakkanad office over phone and asked why they did not bring the modem or configered a connection. Then they said that it will take some more days as there is some problem with the signals in my area. Then I replied him that I wish to cancel the application for a new connection if they cannot complete the connection urgently. Saturday and sunday i arranged a temporory dial up connection through mobile. The very next monday and tuesday i have waited for the connection but they do not even contacted me till wednesday i.e till 27.1.2010. Then I applied for a new internet connection to other Internet provider. They arranged the connection on the same day evening. I am very happy with their service.

I do applied for Asianet Data online because I already have previous experience in using Asianet connection at Trivandrum with another Mac Id and Password. Later I have switched over to BSNL broad band connection. As i have been working in Computer & web site field for more than 9 year, I have suggested to so many of my co-workers and colleagues about geting Asianet data online connection for their individual usage and for the studies of their children. Many of them are using the Asianet connection still even they have BSNL land line connection and GPRS enabled most modern Mobile phones. The image I was keeping about asianet data online had loose its colour by the last experience i had at Ernakulam. For nothing for just geting a connection.

I am sending this emial to consider me to cancell my application for a new asianet data online which I have submitted through Sajeev, on 20.1.2010.

Generation of Computers

Today we can discus about generations of computers

1st Generation Computers

UNIVAC (Universal Automatic Computer) produced in the late 50s was the first computers like ENIAC (Electronic Numerical Integrator and calculator) EDVAC (Electronic Discrete Variable Automatic Computer)

The ENIAC was an electronic vsersion of Mark I. Mechanical relays were replaced by electronic componets and were much faster than Mark I. The use of binary system and the internal storage of instruction written in digital form were the features of EDVAC. EDVAC was the first stored program electronic computer. But due to the delay in procuction, EDSAC which was built at University of Manchester in England is considered as the first stored programme electronic computer. It was in 1942.

In 1953, IBM, entered into the computer market by introducing IBM 701. By the time of IBM 650, IBM dominated the Mark by two third of it.

These are the first generation computers with vaccum tubes and stored program concept.

IInd Generation Computer (1960-64)

Introduction of the transistors (Solid State ciculatory) in place of vaccum tubes and the usage of magnitic core storage were responsible for the birth IInd generation computers

Transistor, which performs same function of a vaccum tube is similar in size, less experience generates almost no heat and also consumes only less power.

The second generatiohn computers were smaller, faster and reliable than that of first generation. They needed only little or some times no air conditioning.

The second generation also was dominated by the IBM. The most popular among them were IBM1401 (for small or medium lever business reqyurenebts) IBM 1620 (small scientific application) IBM 7000-7094 (large scale computation)

IIIrd Generation of computers (1965-70)

The evolution of IIIrd generation computers started when IBM 1360 was released on the market in 1965.

Integrated solic-state devises (ICs) improved secondary storage devises. new 1/0 devises (visual disply units, magnetic ink readers high speed printers) marked the birth of IIIrd generation computers.

Internet

Now we can discus about internet. Simply internet can be said as networking of networks. A number of servers situated in different locations all around the world controls and manages the Internet. The main links used in Internet are geostationary satellite Microwave transmitters and telephone cable. As in the initial stages the internet facility was used by the defense pupose of United States of America. Later internet facilities widely spread all around the world. In discussing about the usages the contrastingly now it can be say to find the area which do not have internet facility, becuase it will be the easier. Every stages and areas used the internet facilty now. Like the computer and computer aided works and methods were popularised, internet facility also being explored more.

Laptops

Today we can discus about Laptops. As technology advances and develops, competitions in the usages of advanced facilities also changes. Some years before the laptop computers were used bye a few persons who were multi millinairs. Today the persentage of persons uses laptops are increased with a suddent growth. Though there are many varities of mobiles available in the market most of them can perform as a mini laptops, and aiming easy handling of it, many persons prefers advanced mobile phones than laptops. Many compenies have developed a vide range of laptop models with new and innovative features and facilities. The decrease in the cost of purchase of laptops increased the laptop sales and usages. The laptop models with touch screen facility, bluetooth, wireless network, inbuilt card readers, combined feartures of GSM and GPRS faclities, theaft recovery facilities, finger reading etc are very popular in the mackets. But in the initial stages of laptops, minimum facilities like, internal modem, DVD RW, USB, Lan card etc are popularised.

Mobile Phones

Today we can discuss about mobile phones.

Before a decade mobiles phones are seen only in few movies. But today most of people walks with latest model of i-phone, touch screens, e-phones etc. Most of the compenies like Nokia, sony, motorolla, samsung, LG have placed their own competing models and innovative mobile phones with latest technologies. Everybody are confused to purchase mobile phone with maximum facilities. The modern trends for luxuries mobile phones are very amazing for all economic exaperts. Because the trends and competition in usages of mobile phones and introduction of several models leads to seperate economic system. As the technology imporves and develops, there are many problems arriesed due to the mis use of mobile phone. Most of the problems caused by mobile phones are related to the lost of secrecy and personal disintegrations. The camera phones causes several induvidual damaging incidents. The miss use of mobiles phones, camera phones, the facilities of blootuth, infrared etc are placed in the list of problems faced by the technology developments. The mobile phones with cameras were misused in taking naked and personal photos of persons. Thousand of cases were reported in this areas. The crimes and conspirasies using mobile phones are another problem. The terrorist groups and criminals uses the mobile phone in their operations. Recently committed terrorist attacks were place and executed with the help of mobile phone and internet. There technical skills developed by anti social worker, sex rackets, mafias etc are the current headache for the intelligence and police departments
